starting point:
The starting point of our excursion was the gravel road from Nishneangarsk to Kichera where it cross the Neruchanda creek.
we have started early in the morning from Severebaikalsk. Our time schedule has foreseen 8 hours walk for round about 8,5 kilometers through the Taiga and the hills mostly without trail - as we understand later it was a completely wrong plan.

Neruchanda gravel bed:
from a forest track where Sascha has brought us with his truck, we has walked up to the bed of the Neruchanda creek.

walk along Neruchanda:
We had a hard walk through the gravel bed of this creek, but we could nit find another easier trail.

decision point:
because of the forest height in left an right we could not detect the right entry to our upside valley. So we have assumed it here, because a runnel came from right direction - an indication for me that here is the valley entry. (That was the next failure, not to store some intermediate point on the GPS receiver)

Forest track:
After less then hundred meter beside in the Taiga we fount a forest track. It was not used for a long time but it was useable. The attacks of the mosquitoes did increase.

grove in the slope:
The forest track has driven in left from the GPS direction. At a location where a grove was in the right on the slope we decided to follow them for a better match of the direction.

following the GPS direction:
but after some time in the grove it drive again from GPS direction into right. So we began to rise onto the slope in direction of the confluence point. We lost more then tree hours up to here.

point of return:
up to this point we had a hard rise due to the Taiga with a slope of some times round about 40°. At a height of 1031 our time limit has been reached. To extend this an to reach the confluence point was no chance.

confluence point:
so our trial to conquest this point became unsuccessful.
not reached, what a pity.
